2021 Lake Davis Family Fishing Day Postponed

Due to Covid-19 and a potential risk to our residents, we are postponing the annual Lake Davis Family Fishing Day, again this year.

Watch this space for a future 2022 date when we are able to safely continue our tradition of celebrating together at Lake Davis

with family activities, fishing and fun.

Abigail Katz is the 2021 Recipient of the Cecil Davis

Agri-Science Outstanding Achievement Award

RDD's General Manager Dawn Mullins announces the recipient of the 2021 CECIL DAVIS AGRI-SCIENCE award.

The award goes to Abigail Katz, in photo who received a plaque and a new laptop. According to her teacher, "Abigail has been actively involved in the FFA program all three years during her time here at Wedgefield.  She has maintained above a 3.5 grade point average and competed in the FFA Floriculture Career Development Event and the FFA Creed Contest at the FFA Sub-district Contest.  She has been active within her community by volunteering her time in the summer helping at University High School's barn.  As president this year Abigail encouraged our at-home students to get active and involved despite the difficulty faced during this pandemic.  Her passion for agriculture education is why she was selected to earn this award in honor of Mr. Cecil Davis."

Congratulations Abigail Katz!
