Additionally, please be aware that most construction projects (including driveways, new structures, swimming pools etc.) require a permit from RDD due to the increasing damage to the drainage system. RDD has a cooperative agreement with Orange County that requires the District to review and issue permits prior to the county. Therefore, it is imperative that you apply for your permit with RDD prior to filing with Orange County. The application fee varies and is due at the time the application is filed. And the permit fee varies upon the type of permit required. All applications require two (2) copies of the survey (no larger than 11x17”). Please allow a minimum of three business days for processing.
